CNC Cutting Services
Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machines offer accuracy and speed unmatched by manual operations. Our CNC machine is capable of material up to 5′ wide by 8′ long by 6″ thick. The machine accuracy is +or- .001″. That’s one thousandths of an inch. Of course this accuracy is overkill for wood since wood moves with changes in climate, but when it comes to machining non-ferrous materials like aluminum, brass and bronze, this level of tollerance is invaluble. We can also cut and machine solid surface materials like corian.
So, if you have from 1 to 1000′s of parts, molds, plaques, signs, etc. that need to be cut and machined with precision, our CNC can help make this operation very cost affordable for you. We can take full size material, like plywood, from a truck, cut it into the parts you need, repack the parts onto a pallet and ship it back to you. CNC Carving Services
Do you have a need to do some wood carving or solid surface material carving? Our CNC machine can carve many types of material with your models or we can work with you to create a totally custom model and finally we have a library of hundreds of models that can be used as they are or combined into a larger model. Here are examples of a simple model and a more complex model combining many elements and adding some custom elements. One of the types of projects we do combined models on a fireplace mantle carvings. We start with some basic models and then add, delete and modify until we get exactly what the customers wants. If you are having difficulty figuring out exactly what it is you want, we have a very talented artist that can help you through the whole process to get something totally personalized for you.

Edgebanding Services
With our automatic edgebanding machine we are able to apply heat activated veneer edging to many types of sheet goods like plywood, melamine, particle board and MDF. With the machine, we are capable of applying edging at a rate of 15 feet per minute. We finish each edgebanded piece with a buffing wheel to make the transition between edge and face of the part very smooth without and ridges. If you have parts you need edgebanded, we can cut the parts for you with the CNC, edgeband them and ship them back to you or have them ready for pickup.

Design Services
Custom Kitchen 3D rendering
We have recently started using a very powerful design package for custom cabinet design including kitchen cabinets, bathroom cabinets, wall units and entertainment centers. This package enables us to design entire rooms full of cabinetry or a single entertainment center for your large, flat screen TV. We can present to you photo quality 3D renderings of your project and even rotate them so you can see them from different angles. We can “explode” the cabinets to show you, in detail, how it is designed and will be constructed. Once you are happy with the design, we can output it to our CNC machine for cutting all the parts extremely accurately. You get exactly what you want.

Wood Milling Services
Wide belt sanding service
We offer wood planing services using our 20″ wide planer and our wide belt sander. The sander can surface wood up to 22″ wide in a single pass and 44″ wide in two passes. We can sand all the way down to 220 grit making your parts virtually ready for finishing when you get them back. Our planer can surface hundreds of board feet very rapidly.

Our process is informal and simple. When you call us and express an interest in a custom project, we will schedule a time to visit with you. We are very flexible for these meetings. If weekends are the only time you can meet, we will do our best to accommodate your schedule.
We like to meet with you in the place where the project will “live”. This way we can get a feel for what it will be surrounded with (colors, textures, styles, etc).
Many times we are approached with photographs, drawings or just ideas. This has been a great way to get discussions going to narrow down exactly what you want and need.
An important part of this whole process is to establish what the budget is for the project. We need to figure out how to fit your wants and needs into your budget. This is very important because the last thing we want to do is get a customer financially overextended on a project. Once we get a rough idea of what is wanted along with the budget in which to work, we can do some initial drawings and come up with a rough estimate on what it will cost to design, construct, build and deliver/install the project.
At this point, when you are ready to move forward, we will put together a written estimate for the project. The written estimate must be approved by you and returned to us with a 50% deposit. The deposit is refundable up until your materials are purchased for your project. At that time it is no longer refundable. This is an important step. As we get busier and busier the backlog becomes longer and longer. Until an estimate is signed and a deposit made, your project will not go into the work queue. We have had backlogs up to 6 months during different times of the year.
Once your project is ready to go into production, we will notify you and ask if you have any last minute changes you want to make. We encourage you to visit the shop and see your project under construction. We’ve received very positive feedback from people who have been able to watch their project being built. It makes them feel more connected with it where they can see it as it evolves. People have told us that they have a whole new level of appreciation seeing the internals of a piece as it is being built versus just seeing the finished project.
As we get close to completion we will arrange for delivery/installation of your project. This is a very exciting time for everyone. We love to see a project as the final coats of finish go on and bring out the beauty. There will be anticipation as to what the new project will look like in its new home. Then comes delivery day and your project is delivered to you.
If installation is required for your project, an progress payment of 45% of the original estimate is required prior to installation beginning. When installation is complete the remaining balance on the final invoice is due. If no installation work is required final payment is due upon delivery.
You will be given instructions for the “care and feeding” of your new addition. For most projects we take pictures during the construction process. These pictures will be part of what is delivered to you. If you haven’t had the opportunity to stop and watch your project being built, the pictures will give you a sense of what has gone into the construction process.
We want to make sure you are totally satisfied with your project and the experience of having a custom project done. We encourage feedback (both positive and negative) so we can improve how we do business. We want to make it is a very positive experience for you.
